Kate Merrick
In 2013 Kate Merrick said goodbye to her 8 year-old daughter Daisy Love when she left for heaven after suffering through cancer treatments for 3 1/2 years. More than a million people followed Daisy’s journey and fight for life on PrayForDaisy.com, where you can still read old posts, watch Daisy’s memorial, and get to know the Merrick family. After Daisy’s passing, Kate was silent for three years in grief and contemplation. She now blogs at KMerrick.com with fresh perspective and newfound freedom to be sentimental or silly or anywhere in between.Kate is making her way back toward laughter and finding life to be filled with good things.
Today Kate fills her days being a pastor’s wife, writer, speaker, and mom to a teenager and toddler. She and her husband Britt co-founded the Reality family of churches in 2003, which began in Carpinteria, California, and has grown to include Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Stockton, San Francisco, Boston, London, and Honolulu.
