Amy Ford – Her Story Speaks

Amy Ford is the Co-Founder and President of Embrace Grace, a non-profit that inspires and equips the church to love on single and pregnant young women and their families. Going through an unplanned pregnancy in her teens was one of the hardest times in Amy’s life. Looking back on those nine months of brokenness, fueled the passion and desire to change things for young women with unplanned pregnancies. Amy and her friend, started a small group within Gateway church that met weekly with girls in that same situation providing support, friendship, guidance and love. A few years later in 2012, Embrace Grace was formed. Since then, thousands of women have gone through the Embrace Grace program and were put back on a path towards Jesus. Currently, Embrace Grace is in almost 500 churches across the nation, in 47 states and 8 countries. The heart of Embrace Grace is to make the church one of the first places a young woman runs to instead of the last because of shame and guilt.

Amy is also the author of A Bump in Life: True Stories of Hope & Courage during an Unplanned Pregnancy as well as Bump in Life Study Guide. Serving in Embrace Grace, she has countless stories of how churches, pregnancy centers and the body of Christ have come together to impact communities in a beautiful way.

Amy has been married for over 20 years to her high school sweetheart, Ryan, and has 4 children. Her oldest son, Jess, is now at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and majoring in Ministry and Pastoral Leadership.A Glimpse Into Her Story
